The Blue Mountains are a spectacular World-Heritage Listed spot, just a few short hours drive from the heart of Sydney. Honestly, sitting quietly, gazing over the escarpments below, I felt like I was back at the Grand Canyon.

Where to base yourself in the Blue Mountains So the Blue Mountains National Park is huge, you guys, and there are lots of little towns nestled around them. This area is easy to get to, offers some great accommodation options as well as shops and food.

My top picks would be KatoombaMedlow Bath and Leura. Both hotels offer great luxury accommodation with a whole lot of glamour and, honestly, are unlike anywhere else I have ever stayed before.
